One Ala Moana is a residential tower built in late 2014 by the MacNaughton and Kobayashi Groups – the same developers of the desirable Hokua and Capitol Place towers in Honolulu. One Ala Moana is a concrete and steel tower enwrapped in double paned, low-emissivity glass. Designed to meet LEED certification with features liked zoned central, AC, Hot water partially heated by the buildings air-conditioning heat return, and in-unit hot water recirculation – which helps reduce wait time for hot water and water usage. The site is uniquely located adjacent to the Nordstrom wing of the Ala Mona Shopping Center with Ala Moana Beach Park just across Ala Moana Blvd.

There is a main ground level lobby located off of Kapiolani Blvd, which also can be accessed via Kona street with resident parking on floors 4 and 5 of the parking garage. The building has a 2 lobby design, which begins on the 4th floor parking level, which allows for more personable corridors with no more than 7 residences per floor. The 6th floor is home to the recreation deck, complete with infinity pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, party room with kitchen, guest suites, theater, bbq grills, cabanas, secured dog park, kids area, multimedia room, library, putting green, gym, sauna, yoga/Pilates studio, massage room and more.
